Italian Classes for Kids

We believe in teaching Italian from an early age.
We offer classes for children ages 2.5 - 14 so they can learn Italian as a second language or learn and build new skills.
Italian Schools offers many programs to choose from: 2-hours weekly, 1.5 hour weekly or 1 hour weekly. You can choose the option that works best for you.
In person classes (held at our east Hanover office) and on-line classes are available for children all ages from 2.5 years old to teenagers.

We have three levels of instructions, beginner, intermediate and bilingual.
Attention is given to 4 skills: listening and comprehension, ability to speak, read and write Italian (when applicable). Italian School NJ has developed its own sequential curriculums following the requirements of the Common European Frameworks so that children will learn the language through the years through age appropriate activities.
Please note that at the Italian School NJ we divide the students based on their age and skill levels. Placement in a different level and age group can be made by our staff based upon individual skill levels.

Bilingual classes
Bilingual classes are for those children who have transferred to America from Italy and are looking to continue their Italian education or for those children who are born here but have native Italian parent/s, Italian School NJ is a perfect choice.

Your child will learn Italian with many fun age-appropriate activities: songs, stories, games, simple crafts, etc.. Minimal adult supervision needed. We will keep your child happily engaged. For a more details description of our courses, please click here.

Twice a week Italian classes (1.0 hour each) 3 to 5 years old

IN-PERSON classes are held at our East Hanover location, 49 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ

Once a week Italian classes (1.5 hour each) 3 to 5 years old & 5 to 6 years old

Once a week Italian classes (1.5 hour each) 6 to 8 years old

Once a week Italian classes (1.5-hour each) 8 to 13 years old

Once a week Italian classes (1-hour each) for 3 to 5 years old.

NEW Intensive YOUTH PROGRAMS FOR CUCCIOLI (2.5-5 yrs)

Children will have more exposure to the Italian language to reinforce their learning.
For parents of our Cuccioli (Ages 2.5-5) Italian School NJ is now offering a new program where children have classes multiple times each week.
Choose between two options: 2 times per week or 3 times per week.
Can choose also a costume schedule at check out.
Students can join an ongoing class anytime based on teacher’s approval. Classes will be held at our East Hanover location.

Cuccioli: 2.5-4 & 4-5 years old (Pre-K)
Two Classes Per Week
Duration: 8 weeks, 16 classes, 1.5-hours each. Includes ALL materials
Tuition: $725 Tuesdays 9:45-11:15am and Thursdays 10:15-11:45am
